Sakugabooru Q&A service

Just yesterday we published a quick guide to address a common hurdle for newcomers to this fandom. Now we’d like to do more! Have some questions? We’ve got your back.

This will hopefully address two issues our readers have been pointing out. The most important one is that when you start getting into the world of Japanese animation, you have many questions, some of which very trivial but still annoying. They might not be substantial enough to deserve a full article on this site, but we’d like to help people out anyway, and services like Twitter aren’t always ideal due to character limits and general unwieldiness for anything but quick conversations. Questions about particular artists, creative roles and industry positions, even more personal inquiries like pieces of animation the staff is particularly fond of. We’re not going to put many limits, so ask ahead with no reservations! If something sounds very interesting, we might even borrow the topic to expand it on a full-length post.

The other side to this is that some of our patrons had pointed out they can’t afford to give us a lot of money every month – perfectly understandable – but that they would still like an incentive to support us with a neat reward. Since the request was to create a tier lower than the $10 one, we felt that the best option was to set up a $5 level so that people can send us their questions. Of course, that will be available to all generous supporters who contribute more money as well! The idea was to compile them in 1-2 posts a month succinctly addressing all your doubts and curiosities. If you like the idea, go ahead and support our Patreon campaign! Don’t forget that we have even more exciting goals ahead.

Advantages of limited animation?

Dunno how to edit my comment, so a reply.

Up to now, I’ve only seen people saying limited animation can be the best option in cases like ‘Kill la Kill’. But then, I began questioning myself if there are any other cases in which limited animation can be the better option. Like, excluding cases like Kill la Kill, would full animation always be the better choice? Or do you think limited animation has its own advantages?

Oooh, cool! I might have to up my donation. Who knows when a question will hit though. I tend to rarely think of anything to ask until someone else has already brought up a topic. lol

Hey, I’ve been trying to send a bit of a longer question through the site’s “contact us” page, but every time I hit send it just errors out. Is there a different way I should try to get in contact?
