Bocchi the Rock has been a wonderful mix of ridiculous comedy and compelling character growth. Now that it’s over, though with hopes to return, let’s take a final look at its production and one of the most creative teams that have graced TV anime.
While current anime get delayed left and right, Yesterday wo Utatte / Sing “Yesterday” for Me sidestepped all those issues by wrapping up its production early. The smart planning led to a more comfortable team and exceptionally consistent character acting that elevates the show.

We’re heading into a Spring anime season that, barring a few exceptions, won’t have as many prestige projects and obvious animation festivals as some of the lineups we’ve covered before. However, it makes up for that with a multitude of smaller projects with potential to shine in unique ways.
